After a few days since the line-up announcement, safety concerns were addressed by the organizers.

The incredible line-up announcement for the When We Were Young event in Las Vegas, which will take place in October, has dominated the conversation this week.

Even as a large number of nostalgic fans have expressed delight at the incredible comebacks on the packed program - which includes everyone from Paramore to Avril Lavigne - many others have expressed skepticism about how the whole thing would be accomplished.

The first date, as well as the second, were completely sold out.

On the other hand, fans have rushed to Twitter to express their displeasure after discovering that Live Nation will be behind the nostalgic concert.

Live Nation is also responsible for Travis Scott's Astroworld, where ten people sadly died, and hundreds more were injured in a stampede.

The concerns

Live Nation, the event's promoter, sent a statement to Newsweek in which they addressed all of the issues that have been swirling around social media regarding the event, from logistics to safety concerns.

In the first instance, they verified that the safety of fans, artists, and event staff is "thoroughly planned" for among event organizers and in collaboration with local authorities.

"We have seen a lot of excitement around this festival and we look forward to putting on an incredible event for all of the fans this October.", the statement reads.

The organizers also encourage fans to check the festival website and socials for all of the latest updates.

They go on to say that the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, the location that was chosen for the festival, "is a large event space that has held a multiple other large scale events and festivals in the past."

Live Nation is also responsible for the Reading & Leeds, Download, and Bonnaroo festivals.

How will the 65 bands perform?

Additionally, the actual line-up has been called into question, with TikToker @thebatmer going viral this week for an explanatory video explaining how the day could work and how long the 65 bands playing each set might get.

The organizers responded that the "set times will vary with earlier bands having shorter sets and the headliners having the longest".

"For many festivals it is typical for earlier acts to have 20-30 minutes, while headliners often perform longer, closer to 45 to 60 minutes or more.", Live Nation continued.
