Born Nathan James Sykes, the musician is popularly known for being the youngest member of the famous British boy band "The Wanted."
The singer was born on April 18, 1993, and he's 29 years old today.
According to Glamour Magazine, the singer grew up in Gloucester, England. He lived with his parents, Harry and Karen Sykes, and his younger sister, Jessica.
Sykes went to Sylvia Young Theatre School and Ribston Hall High School.
Singing has been a part of his childhood as he started performing at the age of six. He was nine years old in 2003 when he won several competitions, including a Britney Spears karaoke show and one of the categories at the Cheltenham Competitive Festival of Dramatic Art.
'The Wanted' Career
His boyband career began when he auditioned for "The Wanted" in 2009 when he was 16 years old.
Sykes got in along with bandmates Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker, Max George, and Siva Kaneswaran.
The band dominated the charts as they had ten U.K. top 10 singles and three U.K. top 10 albums. At the time of their peak, they managed to sell 12 million records worldwide.
Unfortunately, the band decided to move forward with their solo careers after the United Kingdom and the United States tour in 2014.

For the singer's solo career, one of his most famous collaborations to date is his feature on Ariana Grande's song "Almost Is Never Enough."

The singer passed away after being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.
In the video posted on his Instagram account, Sykes wrote a lengthy caption accompanied by a video of their tour, saying it was their last performance ever.
"I wasn't sure if I was going to share this video but I thought that some of you may take comfort in seeing so much joy in one place with a few additions that have definitely made me feel all kinds of emotions today," he penned.
