Many fans prepare for their favorite band's concert as they save money before buying tickets. However, one fan in Detroit, Michigan, thought he hit the jackpot after buying cheap passes, but little did he know, he made a big mistake.

Speaking to Detroit Metro Times, the fan named Aaron said he was browsing through his social media news feed when he stumbled upon an advertisement for what appeared to be a Red Hot Chili Peppers' concert.

The show was set for April 28 at a local venue called the Magic Bag. The location can accommodate 400 people, and tickets were only priced for less than $20.

Aaron was thrilled upon seeing the offer, so he purchased four tickets.

However, he made a big mistake as the tickets he bought were from a cover band called "Red Not Chili Peppers," it had the same logo as RHCP, and the letters were also capitalized.

Since the band was promoting "Unlimited Love" in smaller venues like record stores and performing for free, Aaron said he thought he had hit the jackpot.

"The way they were promoting [Unlimited Love] that just came out, they were doing smaller venues out west, doing little record stores, free shows, things like that, I was like, oh my god, maybe I'm lucky," he told the outlet. (via Power 96 Radio)

He clarified that he was "completely sober" when he bought the tickets.

Aaron tried to get a refund from the organizers, but they refused, leading him to be mad.

As of this writing, Red Hot Chili Peppers has not publicly commented on the matter.
