Harry Style's long-awaited album titled "Harry's House" is dropping in a few days and today, he's busy with interviews and rehearsing for his one-night-only show in New York City. In a recent statement, the British star credited a young singer for inspiring him in music; who could this be?

In an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, the "Watermelon Sugar" hitmaker referenced Billie Eilish's success as a young artist in the industry.

Since Styles came from a band, he'd always felt that he and his bandmates were young, and he had a moment seeing Eilish in the music industry at such a young age where he realized that he was not young anymore.

It made him think about how he would "play the game of remaining exciting" to the public.

He expressed his gratitude to the "Bad Guy" songstress for representing an artistic liberation for him, saying Eilish "broke the spell" of overanalyzing habits.

"This is so unbelievably liberating to go, 'I just want to make good music.' That's it. That's what I want to do. And everything else is what it will be. And that's kind of it," he added. (via Variety)

The singer later recalled that his realization made him go deep into the evolution of his music.

Elsewhere in the interview, the British singer also revealed where he stands with One Direction seven years after they disbanded.

He told the host that he has a lot of love and respect for his former bandmates, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson, saying he feels lucky to have them.

"I feel really lucky that we always had each other to be this unit that felt like you could keep each other in check and you could just have someone else who gets it," he said.

He later recalled his experience from competing individually on "X Factor" before ultimately becoming a boyband member and disbanding in 2015, saying it was "isolating."

Whenever they do something as a group, Styles said there's respect between all the members, and it's something they can't undo.

In a previous interview with Better Homes & Gardens, the singer opened up about feeling "free" after launching his solo career but clarified that he still loves his former One Direction pals.

"Harry's House" will be released on May 20, 2022.
