Ed Sheeran announced his daughter's birth on social media, but did not specify the specific date. The singer now has two children.
On May 19, he shocked his fans by announcing on Instagram that he and his wife Cherry Seaborn welcomed a baby daughter. He posted a photo of white baby socks on an ombre brown knit blanket
"Want to let you all know we've had another beautiful baby girl," he captioned the heartwarming shot. "We are both so in love with her, and over the moon to be a family of 4 x."
It's not clear when his new daughter was exactly born though, or what her name is.
In August of 2020, the Ed Sheeran, 31, and Cherry, 29, welcomed their first baby, Lyra. Sheeran announced the birth in a similar manner, using Instagram to post a brief statement to his followers.
He was a bit more generous with information at the time though since he already mentioned his daughter's name. The announcement was also made just a few weeks before Cherry went into labor.

"Ello! A quick message from me as I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you... Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter - Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran," he wrote under a picture of blue and white baby socks over a brown, blue, and green knit blanket. "We are completely in love with her. Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Lots of love and I'll see you when it's time to come back, Ed x."
Although it is apparent that the singer is not keen on big baby announcements and fanfare, he's not shy to talk about fatherhood. In fact, ever since he became a dad, he talked about the experience numerous times already.
In May 2021, he acknowledged that his daughter is not his "greatest fan" because she "simply tears" when he plays her his new music.
Nevertheless, he stated that she adores his 2017 hit, "Shape of You. In November of that year, he sent another update on his cherished daughter. He described her as simply being terrific! He shared updates on her growth, proudly saying his daughter can walk while conversing. He was also quite happy to share that his first daughter's first word was "dad."
