Blue is eager to create a biopic. This, after they reunited and promised to launch a new album within the year. Will it happen?
The resurrected 2000s boy band, consisting of Lee Ryan, Duncan James, Antony Costa, and Simon Webbe, will release their return album 'Heart and Soul' on September 9, followed by a tour of the same name in December.
The "Guilty" hitmakers have admitted they'd love to do a film similar to "Bohemian Rhapsody" or "Rocketman" and have even considered who would play the lead roles.
Duncan, 43, told the Guilty Pleasures column of the Metro newspaper that he always wanted to a make a movie about the band.
Lee, 38, desires to portray himself, while Simon Webbe, 44, believes Chris Rock can play him, and Antony, 40, would like to see Robert De Niro cast in the role.
He said: "I'd play myself, because people always come up to me and say I look like Lee Ryan!"
Additionally, Blue discussed a jukebox musical.
Antony stated, "I spoke to a few producers over the years, but it just hasn't felt right."
Referring to their 2004 smash single "Bubblin," he hinted, "Watch this space, there might be something Bubblin' - excuse the pun - in the background."

Blue also just released "Haven't Found You Yet," their first song in seven years.
At present, those who cannot wait if there is a biopic or not, can make pre-roders of the upcoming album.
"Heart and Soul" is available for pre-order at Blue.lnk.to/preorder and will be released on CD, Vinyl, Cassette, and all digital platforms.
It can be recalled that the band has released some of the greatest hits during their time, but they got played by their circumstances and even had to declare bankruptcy. Not because they completely lost everything they earned though.
Since their formation in 2000, Blue released a number of popular songs, but in recent years, all four band members - Antony Costa, Duncan James, Lee Ryan, and Simon Webbe - have been forced to declare bankruptcy. In an interview, the singers discussed their financial difficulties and stated that it had nothing to do with expenditures.
"When you hear the word 'bankruptcy' you have this idea you have no money," Simon told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. "But we chose to go down this route for business purposes."
Fellow star Duncan explained, "There was lots of press around it at the time, claiming we had wasted our money, and didn't invest it wisely," to which he denied. He said they were sued by the management, who tried to "screw" them, forcing them to liquidate instead.
