Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift used to have a relationship way back in their teenage years, and they've already moved on from the past as they currently have their respective partners. However, during their split at the time, both had written songs dedicated to each other.

According to Us Weekly Magazine, The Jonas Brothers performed at their Las Vegas residency show over the weekend.

During their performance, some fans noticed that the 32-year-old singer changed the lyrics of "Much Better," a song allegedly inspired by their breakup.

The original lyrics read, "And all the tears on her guitar / I'm not bitter. ... Now I'm done with superstars," seemingly referencing Swift's hit 2008 song "Teardrops on my Guitar."

A viral video on Twitter shows the DNCE frontman changing the lyrics to "Now I'm cool with superstars."

As of this writing, Joe Jonas and his brothers, Nick and Kevin, have not publicly commented on the matter.

The situation didn't stop fans from sharing their theories about Jonas switching the lines, as one fan noted that "he's grown up and friends with Taylor Swift again."

What Happened to Taylor Swift and Joe Jonas?

According to the outlet, the former Disney actor and the "All Too Well (10 minute version)" started dating in July 2008. Their relationship didn't last long as they broke up after three months.

In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Swift shocked the world by revealing that Jonas dumped her through a 27-second voicemail.

"[Joe] is not in my life anymore, unfortunately. That's ouch. ... Someday I'm gonna find someone really, really great who's right for me," she said in November of 2008.

Joe Jonas responded on MySpace at the time, saying he called to discuss his feelings, but it was not well-received. He defended himself by saying he didn't end the conversation.

He alleged that the other person ended the call because she didn't want to hear his side of the story.

Jonas clarified that he attempted to reach out again, but she had no response.

Both singers have moved on from the past years later. The Jonas Brothers' singer is now happily married to Sophie Turner. They welcomed their first baby Willa almost two years ago.

On the other hand, the "Getaway Car" songstress has been in a relationship with actor Joe Alwyn since 2017.
