Paul Vance, the "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" songwriter, died. He was 92.

Vance's daughter, Paula, confirmed the news about her father's death in a Facebook post on Tuesday. According to her, the musician and songwriter passed away on May 30 while listening to the song "Playground in My Mind," his song that features his son, Philip.

"I sat by his side for hours playing beautiful music, mostly his Ofcourse , and he took his last breath while listening to my brother Philips voice singing My name is Michael , from his hit song , Playground in my mind. Only you Dad, only you lol. It's as if he wrote the way he would take his last breath on earth," Paula went on.

She was with Vance until he took his last breath inside a nursing facility in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The same statement did not disclose Paul Vance's cause of death. His fans, meanwhile, remembered his works in the music industry and paid tribute to him.

Paul Vance's Journey in Music Industry

With the help of Lee Pockriss, Paul Vance began creating tunes from Brill Building in New York City. In 1966, their songs immediately got sold more than 50 million copies.

Before Pockriss died in 2011, the duo helmed several hit songs, including "Leader of the Laundromat," which served as a parody of the Shangri-Las "Leader of the Pack."

Vance savored his last major hit, "Run Joey Run," as it pushed singer David Geddes to fame in 1975.

After leaving the industry, he became a horse owner and breeder.

Although his death only occurred recently, Vance dealt with multiple death hoaxes starting in 2006.

At that time, a man named Paul Van Valkenburgh from Connecticut claimed that he wrote the hit song, "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini," under the name Paul Vance.

When he died, Associated Press and other news outlets received the tip from Valkenburgh's family and reported his death - writing Vance's name. It caused their family and friends to contact Vance's loved ones due to panic.

His music publisher eventually revealed the truth, saying that Vance was the true author of the hit and that he was still alive.
