Joe Jonas is opening up about an audition that didn't go as planned, revealing that his attempt to land a role on "The Morning Show" ended in what he calls a complete disaster.
The 36-year-old singer shared the story during a recent episode of the Jonas Brothers' "Hey Jonas!" podcast with his brothers Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas. Joe said the audition experience started off awkward, even before he stepped in front of the casting.
According to ENews, he recalled being placed in a private waiting room that felt uncomfortable and isolating.
"They were like, 'Oh, we have a private room for you,'" he said. "And this is the saddest room you can imagine." While waiting, he could hear other actors auditioning nearby.
"I could hear, clear as day, all the guys auditioning. And these guys were crushing it," he added. That pressure didn't help when it was finally his turn. Joe described walking into the room and immediately feeling unprepared.
"I go in and I just crash and burn," he said, admitting he wasn't even sure what he was supposed to be doing in the audition.

Joe Jonas Admits He Was Outmatched
He later clarified that the role was for a young news anchor who was also a potential love interest for Jennifer Aniston's character in the Apple TV+ drama.
His brothers reacted with humor and support during the conversation. Nick Jonas tried to lighten the moment by reminding him that failed auditions are normal in the industry. He asked if "The Morning Show" was Joe's worst audition, but Joe said he had other memorable misses as well, including earlier attempts for "Wicked" and "Spider-Man."
"We don't need to name all the things I didn't get," Joe joked, as Kevin Jonas quickly added, "Those are two of them."
Joe also reflected on his "Wicked" audition, saying it felt intimidating because of the strong singers around him. "There was, like, incredible theater vocalists I could hear clear as day," he said, explaining that the experience made him feel out of place, PageSix reported.
Nick also shared his own audition story during the episode, recalling a moment when he unknowingly spoke to a director he thought was only a producer.
Kevin Jonas added a story from his earlier career, saying he was once told directly that he lacked acting experience.
