In a massive number for the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003, Britney Spears, Madonna, Christina Aguilera, and Missy Elliot gave out a now-iconic performance that made the headlines at the time.
During her solo, the "Like a Virgin" hitmaker planted a kiss on national television on Britney Spears' lips which shocked the world. Madonna also kissed Christina Aguilara but was cut as cameras pointed to Justin Timberlake, who was fresh from a breakup with Spears at the time.
The kiss has become one of the most shocking television moments of all time as it has angered conservatives then and parents. While the kiss lived in infamy, it brought the two pop stars closer together.
Almost two decades after, Madonna, who was present at Britney's wedding, recreated the iconic kiss with Spears.
Donning a red Versace dress in her reception, Spears bent down to give the 63-year-old Madonna a big fat smooch.
Per a Page Six source, Spears and Madonna had remained closed throughout the years.
With a "soft spot" for the "Toxic" singer, the source revealed that Madonna even "offered to help in any way" on the long-standing battle of Spears with her controversial conservatorship at the time.

Madonna's presence at Spear's wedding marked the first time the two were seen in public together since the termination of the latter's conservatorship last November 2021.
Aside from the popstar, Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton, Selena Gomez, and Donatella Versace (who designed Britney's gown), were all invited to the wedding.
Britney Spears Ex-Husband Jason Alexander Gate Crashed at Wedding
In a stunning turn of events, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari's wedding was riddled with chaos earlier in the morning.
Alexander, who was Spear's ex-husband "attempted" to crash the wedding by coming uninvited. Page Six later learned that the pop star was "shaken" by what happened.
The Ventura County Police had already arrested Alexander. Per Britney's lawyer, they are "working closely with law enforcement to ensure Mr. Alexander is aggressively prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."
