Their music career started in a factory in Sheffield, reports say, and then they were eventually performing sold-out shows in stadiums across the globe.

The anthology will also go through manuscripts from extensive new interviews with the band's current and past members.

Reflecting on their success and how they became legends, Savage said, "Coming up during the punk era helped us because there were only a couple of bands playing our type of music. People probably took more notice of us because we stood out."

Elliott also put in his thoughts on what brought Def Leppard immense popularity and achieved their status, "We had balls and we were naive, in a good way. We just went out there, full throttle [...]"

According to reports, fans are in for a surprise with "Definitely: The Official Story of Def Leppard," because not only will it have the aforementioned collections, but it will also have over 1,300 pieces of memorabilia collected over 40 years.

Def Leppard revolutionized the music of their generation. They sold millions of copies of their albums worldwide and received numerous awards and accolades throughout the years.
