Looks like that boys of Nickelback are starting fresh! The group just announced they'll be releasing their first album after joining Republic Records this coming fall, Billboard reports. Along with the news, word has it the band is dropping a single this Tuesday, Aug. 19.

"Edge of a Revolution," as the track is called, will premiere Monday, Aug. 18 on Clear Channel, and will be available for download the following day.

The upcoming album will be the first since 2011's Here and Now, which was their final one with Roadrunner Records.

As Billboard states, Nickelback signing with the new label was a collaborative effort between Universal Music Canada CEO Randy Lennox and Republic Records co-founder/CEO Monte Lipman.

"I've been a fan of the band since their inception," Lipman told the publication. "Unfortunately, like many people, I had the opportunity to sign them and blanked, and missed one of the biggest opportunities of my career.

Vowing to not recreate that mistake, both Lipman and Lennox reportedly flew to Maui – where the band was at the time – in order to "present a collective strategy to Nickelback," as the mag reports. And from what it looks like, the group totally dug the pitch.

Lipman added, "For me, on behalf of Republic and this company, it's about how we can make a difference in their career. And that's what I convinced these guys. I said, 'You're a legacy act, and as far as I'm concerned, your trajectory is right into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and I want to be a part of that."
