Courtney Love just revealed that she has some decades-old beef with Brad Pitt-he did some pretty shady under-the-table maneuvers after she rejected his Kurt Cobain movie pitch.

During her appearance at the "WTF" podcast, Love revealed that the blockbuster hit actor suggested that he would portray Cobain in a movie inspired by the Nirvana frontman.

The singer was appalled by the idea and rejected it immediately. "I went nuclear!" She said. "Who the f**k do you think are?"

Her decision, however, cost her a role in one of the most iconic and popular movies in today's time-"Fight Club."

Her then-boyfriend Edward Norton, who starred alongside Pitt in "Fight Club," called her to break the news. "He starts sobbing. ... And he was like, 'I don't have the power!'

The singer claimed that she got the role of Marla Singer in the 1999 movie, but after turning down Pitt's pitch, they booted her from the movie. The role ended up being played by Helena Bonham Carter.

"We'd done all these table reads, I'd gone and worked privately with David, and I get this phone call, and it's from Gus Van Sant . . . and Gus is having lunch with Brad Pitt," she revealed.

Love explained that she did not see Pitt portraying Cobain, noting that he did not "get Kurt."

"I don't know if I trust you, and I don't know that your movies are for profit," she recalled telling the actor. "They're really good social justice movies, but...if you don't get me, you kind of don't get Kurt, and I don't feel like you do, Brad."

Mistake?

However, the singer did note that she regretted her decision of turning down the movie pitch. "No one's ever done this like, and 22 years later I still kick myself for not having the shark instinct to be like, 'Sure', and f**k em later."

Love and Cobain married in 1992 and had a daughter together, Frances bean Cobain.

The "Come As You Are" singer was part of the world-renowned band Nirvana, which found its success after the release of "Smells Like Teen Spirit."

Cobain died by suicide in 1994; he was found in his Seattle home at the age of 27, and after his death, his popularity as well as Nirvana's just took off.

Rolling Stone named him one of the 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time, 100 Greatest Guitarists, and 100 Greatest Singers of All Time.
