Ed Sheeran will release a documentary in 2023 in collaboration with Fulwell 73 Productions.

According to Billboard, a four-part documentary series named "Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All" would follow the path of a stuttering youngster who ascended to prominence and wrote chart-topping songs.

The docuseries is executive produced by Ben Winston and Ben Turner, and directed by David Soutar.

Rumors of a documentary were rampant during last fall.

Where and When To Watch Ed Sheeran Docuseries

The series is slated to make its global premiere on Disney+ on May 3, 2023.

The platform is trying to expand its content offering and appeal to a broader audience. After all, the U2 special "Bono and the Edge: A Kind of Homecoming with David Letterman" was recently published on Disney+.

'Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All' Documentary

According to reports, "Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All" is a glimpse into the "Thinking Out Loud" singer's private life in which she reveals her ideas on how his new work has been impacted by his difficult times.

When asked about the documentary, the British singer-songwriter said that Disney approached him about creating a four-part series.

He also stated that now is the moment to open the door and give them an intimate look into his life.

"I've always been very guarded in my personal and private life; the only documentary I've ever made has been one that focused on my songwriting."

According to reports, the docuseries would be broken into four parts: "Love," "Loss," "Balance," and "Life."

"Love" will explain the work ethic that propelled him to international prominence.

"Loss" features previously unseen video from Ed's trip as well as a look at some of his old photographs.

"Focus" will discuss his songwriting abilities.

"Balance" depicts how he and his wife, Cherry Seaborn, deal with the difficulty of combining family and business life while they are regularly separated by thousands of miles.

According to Disney Branded Television president Ayo Davis, the docuseries will expose a side of Ed that has never been seen before.

"We've created something truly authentic and personal that will not only entertain audiences but also inspire them to dream big and pursue their passions."

Ed Sheeran's New Album

Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran's sixth studio album, "-" pronounced subtract, will be released on May 5, 2023. This is distributed by Atlantic in the United States, Atlantic/Asylum Records in the United Kingdom, and Atlantic/Warner Music in the rest of the globe.

"Eyes Closed," the album's debut single, is expected to be released on March 24.
