Journey and Slipknot may be two of the legendary bands in the music industry throughout the decades, but many fans are curious to hear a collaboration between them as they perform songs in two different genres. Could a new track be dropping soon?

Drummer Deen Castronovo recently dropped by the "Thunder Underground" podcast where he was asked about musicians he wanted to collaborate with in the future.

As reported by Blabbermouth, the Journey member said he wanted to work with Slipknot's Corey Taylor someday, saying he's a genius.

"I don't know if that will ever happen. I've met him a few times. He's the sweetest frickin' man. And in my opinion, he's a genius. The books he's written, the spoken-word stuff," he added.

The praises kept coming as Castronovo described Taylor as a "brilliant artist" in whatever he does, even his solo band.

He also spoke about Stone Sour, the metal singer's solo band, saying he's amazing with his project and he considers him a "well rounded" musician.

"He's got a good, solid head on his shoulders. His feet are on the ground. He doesn't believe the hype. And he's brilliant, in my opinion - he's just brilliant," he added.
