ABBA is one of the biggest bands in the world for decades now and they have an ongoing virtual concert that features a computer-generated version of themselves. However, the group appears to be humble as Bjorn Ulvaeus reveals that his bandmates had no idea their series of concerts is very big now.

Speaking to NME, the musician opened up about his true feelings about the virtual concerts, saying it has surpassed any dream he could ever have because the band still remains relevant and was able to reach "new generations by some miracle."

Regarding the show's success, Ulvaeus said technology is just one part of it and he credited the people who worked for their concerts because "there are so many other moving parts."

In addition, he considered their consistent fame as luck because you have to be lucky when something works as well as this, as well as having the resources artistically, financially and so forth." (via Kool 101.7)

ABBA 'Voyage' to Play Outside London Soon?

Elsewhere in the interview, Ulvaeus said he's hoping that the London venue, where the show is currently being held at, will remain open in the future.

He also teased fans outside the United Kingdom that ABBA's "Voyage" will be playing overseas, saying there are plans to build a customized venue for the shows around Asia, Australia, and North America.

However, it won't be soon as each venue would take "at least two years to build." He later assured fans that they will be announcing something by the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024 about their next plans.

Is ABBA Performing at Glastonbury?

Despite being easily one of the most recognizable bands globally, it appears that ABBA "Voyage" will not take the stage of Glastonbury Festival anytime soon, but it doesn't mean it's impossible.

Ulvaeus said the virtual concert could be possible in the future. The main reason is the venue as it's "too complicated" due to the lighting, the visuals, and sound.

In other updates, ABBA "Voyage" promoters announced last month that they will not be allowing the use of afro wigs in their shows.

Fans were excited to wear their vintage outfits to the shows, but they were shocked upon receiving an e-mail from organizers that mentioned the banning of the said wigs because they are "culturally insensitive."
