An incident has devastated the Swiftie community after a fan who came from one of Taylor Swift's "The Eras" tour concerts passed away after being struck by a hit-and-run. The kid, reported to have only been 20 years old when he died, managed to save her older sister out of the way.

In turn, Swifties have mounted a GoFundMe page to help the family of the dead fan.

Taylor Swift Fan Dead in Houston

According to KHOU 11, 20-year-old Jacob Lewis and his sister April Bancroft, were on the way home from Taylor Swift's "The Eras" concert in Houston, Texas. They had experienced some car trouble along the road.

When Lewis got out and started pushing the car, a ravaging vehicle swept him away, instantly killing him.

Authorities reported that the driver of the vehicle fled the scene immediately but was followed by a tow-truck driver who had witnessed the whole accident. Police were able to arrest 34-year-old Alan Bryant Hayes at the nearby location close to the venue.

According to Steve Lewis, the father of the victim, the driver got out and helped her daughter fish out his son under his car. After seeing what happened, Hayes fled the scene and offered no help or even displayed any remorse for what he had done.

Bryant has since been charged with failure to stop and render aid and felony driving while intoxicated for 3rd offense. He is currently booked at Harris County Jail. (via WSAZ)

Taylor Swift Fan Saved Her Sister Before Death

Lewis' father took to Facebook to express his grief on the shocking incident that claimed the life of his son.

"Jacob will be remembered as a loving and faithful young man who was loyal to his family and friends. His last act was to push his sister to safety on a dark street," his father wrote in a public post on Facebook. "There is no way to describe the magnitude of this loss and the emptiness left in our hearts."

Bancroft, on the other hand, only suffered minor bruises and scrapes. Friends of Lewis have mounted a GoFundMe page online, which has been circulated among Swiftie fan groups in support and in condolences to the bereaved family of a Swiftie.

As of this writing, Taylor Swift has yet to address or comment on the issue. Check out Jacob Lewis' GoFundMe page.
