The band expressed its heartbreak after losing the vocalist who "loved his fans like family." The members also called him a trailblazer in the post-hardcore music scene in the years leading to his death.

"When he had a story to tell, you could read it in his lyrics, hear it in his voice, see it his movements and feel it in your depths," the statement continued. "We will forever reflect fondly on the memories and music we shared. We love you Jordan, we'll see you down the road brother."

A Skylit Drive's official statement did not disclose Jordan Blake's cause of death, saying that the band would not be commenting until further notice as his family wishes for privacy.

However, several news outlets previously noted his battle with addiction and mental health issues. It remains unknown whether either of the problems contributed to his death.

On the other hand, fans who commented on the post seemingly knew what happened to the vocalist. One fan cryptically wrote, "One can save millions, but sometimes millions cant save one. [sic]"

Jordan Blake's Career, Legacy

Blake was famously known as a member and vocalist of A Skylit Drive. He joined the band when it was first formed in Lodi, California, in 2006.

The following year, the band released its first EP, "She Watched the Sky." However, Blake's journey with his bandmates was cut short when he was replaced by Michael "Jag" Jagmin, who went on to be part of five studio albums, in 2008.

At that time, Blake had to take time off due to health-related complications. It also caused him to exit the band's then-ongoing tour.

A Skylit Band called it quits in 2017, but the members found their way back in 2022 and began performing with the original lineup again. They performed together at So What?! Festival and Swanfest 2022.

Apart from being part of A Skylit Drive, Blake also took his time to collaborate with other groups and musicians, including Speak of the Devil, Watchout! Theres Ghosts, Ann Arbor, and Trances.
