This year's Met Gala welcomed several stars who have never been to the biggest night in fashion and art, and among them is one of South Korea's darling and fashion icons, Jennie from BLACKPINK.

Jennie Kim, or just Jennie, arrived at the steps of The Metropolitan Museum of Art donning a vintage black and white Chanel outfit, a reinterpretation of one of Karl Lagerfeld's fall 1990 ready-to-wear collections.

According to Vogue, the satin outfit was mostly white with a black band as well as a white camellia-which represents the brand.

Piece of Advice

Despite her nervousness, Jennie's excitement about the entire lavish affair prevailed.

"I am everywhere, this is my first Met," Jennie gushed to Emma Chamberlain, this year's Vogue correspondent at the Met steps. "I was really excited until I got off my car, like, two minutes ago."

It also helped that the KPOP star was given some advice from her friend and fellow BLACKPINK member, Rose, who attended the Met Gala a year prior.

When asked about what her expectations are for the event, the singer admitted that she did not know what to expect, but Rose already told her what to do.

"Rosie, she was here last year," Jennie then continued. "She told me just have fun, so that's the plan for today."

Met Gala Debut

Jennie has been a longtime ambassador for Chanel; she has been seen numerous times sporting the iconic intertwining Cs in almost every picture she posts on social media.

"I'm wearing Chanel from the '90s runway. I'm so lucky to have the Chanel team recreate this look, the one that Karl did. I'm just so happy!" The singer told Chamberlain.

Fans were taken and very impressed with Jennie's debut outfit for the Met Gala, as it represented Chanel to a T.

There is now a Vogue video of the singer preparing to attend the Met Gala uploaded on Youtube. Watch it here.

According to reports, the KPOP star was among the most mentioned women online regarding the Met Gala; other celebrities who were also called out for their impeccable looks are Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Doja Cat, and South Korean actress, Song Hye Kyo

It seems like this year's Met Gala won't be the last time the fans will be seeing Jennie, in fact, she might even be a mainstay in the event from now on.
