Lewis Capaldi Cancels Tour Amid Health Issues

According to a statement on his social media accounts, Lewis Capaldi is canceling the remaining concert shows and festival appearances until before his Glastonbury 2023 performance.

In a lengthy letter, Capaldi admits that typing the message was a "difficult one" and it had "hurt" him "a lot."

"It's been such an incredible time leading into this new album, and seeing all of the support from everyone has been beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of," he furthered. "That said, the last few months have been full on both mentally and physically, I haven't been home properly since Christmas and at the moment I'm struggling to get to grips with it all."

According to the multiplatinum singer, he must take a moment to "rest and recover" and be at his best to be ready for his Glastonbury set. He also promised that the recovery period would ensure he could continue doing the other shows he is scheduled to do afterward.

Capaldi will be taking a three-week off as he plans to spend more time with his family and friends while doing some "normal life things" that he considers a crucial part of his feeling much better.

"I know many of you will have spent money on travel or hotels, which I appreciate more than ever how difficult things are economically at the moment, so I'm extremely sorry for the impact this will have," he said in a statement.

Capaldi even assured his fans that he's getting all the help and support from the people around him that he needs to aid his recovery.
