Karol G is perhaps one of the biggest female Latin artists in the world right now. Next to Bad Bunny, Karol G is taking over the world by storm with her music and influence.

Her album, "Manana Sera Bonito" is one of the biggest albums of 2023, as it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart.

Very recently, Karol G inked a new deal with Interscope Records, which was described by Billboard to still be a rather rare move to date despite the success of Latin music in the world nowadays.

Karol G, Interscope Records Deal

According to a Billboard report, Karol G recently signed a deal with Interscope Records, the same label that houses perhaps the biggest artists in the world right now, including Lady Gaga, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Lana Del Rey, and Gwen Stefani, among many others.

According to Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge, the parent company of Interscope Records, their partnership with Karol G stems back to the beginning of her career.

"She is simply one of the most exciting artists in popular music today and we're honored she has chosen to deepen her partnership with UMG for many more years to come," he said in a statement.

Apparently, the contact wasn't just an ordinary one. Turns out, the days before the signing was composed of "lengthy" and "complex" negotiations between the singer and the label.

Per a source close to the publication, Karol G will be forming her own imprint, Bichota Records, as her upcoming new music will be distributed by Interscope, as she will now own the masters of her music.

As for Karol G, she is "continuously amazed" by the support that her fans have been showering her, which as a result, "motivates" her to deliver her best.

"I'm certain that this partnership with Interscope and their incredible team will help us continue building and making history. I'm thrilled to see what's to come," she said in a statement.
