Fans were saddened after several reports about Rosalia and Rauw Alejandro's engagment being called off made rounds online. More recently, the latter is ready to break his silence and speak about the matter.
According to Billboard, the Latin artist took to his official Twitter account to share his official statement written in Spanish.
As translated by the outlet, the singer began by crediting his ex-partner for being a part of his professional accomplishments through the years. He also noted that she became a significant person in his life through the happy times.
Later on, Alejandro wrote that he never thought he would be in a position where he is required to publicly address an issue regarding his private life.
He then confirmed that both he and Rosalia have broken up for a few months now.
"Yes, a few months ago, Rosi and I ended our engagement," he wrote.

Later in the statement, the musician noted that there are "thousands of problems" that could cause any breakup, but he clarified that there was no third party involved and none of them committed infidelity.
He added that he's taking his time to "assimilate everything" and since there have been a lot of allegations about the reason of their split, Alejandro decided to speak out for Rosalia nad their families.

"I couldn't stay quiet and continue to see how they try to destroy the most real love story God has ever allowed me to live," he added.
At the end of his post, he wrote that he's not going to add anything and he expressed his gratitude and love for his fans who have always supported him.
Rauw Alejandro, Rosalia Relationship History
The former couple first met when they both attended the Latin Grammys in Las Vegas in 2019.
In a previous interview with GQ, Alejandro said Rosalia thought he was a "player" based on her initial assessment of the singer, but she noted that she "won the lotto" as their relationship bloomed.
They later had a trip in Madrid later that year where they shared their first kiss.
The following year, they finally announced to the world that they are a couple through a TikTok video. The pair then started attending events together.
Earlier this year, Alejandro and Rosalia were reportedly engaged then started making music collaborations.
