Miley Cyrus 'Used to be Young' Lyrics Explained

Cyrus, who previously starred as the young pop star Hannah Montana in the famous Disney Channel series of the same name, said she wrote the song at a time when she felt misunderstood.

She then noted that over the course of 18 months, she painted a "sonic picture of my perspective to share with you."

Now that the song is done, she's finally ready to drop the song that she "could perfect forever."

"Although my work is done, this song will continue to write itself everyday. The fact it remains unfinished is a part of its beauty," she added.

Some of the lyrics read:

"You tell me time has done changed me / That's fine, I've had a good run / I know I used to be crazy / That's cause I used to be young."
