Anderson Cooper has been working in the field of news for decades now. Many would think that the news anchor/journalist has a wholesome image that he presents on the TV screens almost every day, but little did they know that he also has a naughty side.

According to NME, the CNN news anchor shocked fans when he attended one of Madonna's "Rebel Heart" concerts at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, seven years ago.

At the time, the audience was surprised as the pop royalty invited Cooper to join her on stage. Little did he know, he would dance, get humped on, and get spanked, by the singer herself.

In a video uploaded on YouTube years ago, the journalist danced awkwardly along with Madonna and other backup dancers. Despite the awkwardness, he appeared to be having the time of his life in front of thousands of fans at the venue.

"You did good, you're a great man," the pop superstar told the news anchor before giving him a banana as a reward for his performance.

Anderson Cooper Reacts to Explicit Performance With Madonna

More recently, the anchor spoke with Kelly Ripa in an interview on the podcast "Let's Talk Off Camera," where he shared his thoughts about the performance.

Even though he was smiling and laughing on stage, Anderson Cooper admitted that he was "mortified."

"That [moment,] I choose to forget. I'm mortified," he told the host.

Nevertheless, he clarified that he "loved the whole idea" and the overall experience, but he didn't like that a video of his performance exists around the internet.

"I didn't know what the hell was going on... I was terrible. I danced terribly. It was mortifying," he added. (via NME)

Anderson Cooper Still Clueless About What Happened During Madonna Performance

Later in the interview, the journalist noted that watching people perform on stage seems to be natural whatever they do, but it was hard for them.

As mentioned above, Cooper received a banana on stage in front of 19,000 people. At the time, he was clueless about what to do that's why he started to peel and eat the banana.

After that, he didn't know what happened because the bottom of the stage started lowering down and he disappeared below.

"I don't know. To this day, I don't know what happened," he added.
