People thought that Olivia Rodrigo wouldn't surpass her blockbuster debut album, "Sour," with her sophomore album. But lo and behold, "Guts," became Rodrigo's biggest album to date.

Debuting on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, Rodrigo becomes the first artist in the last nine years to debut both of her first two albums on the top of the chart.

It also launched two Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 - "Vampire" and "Bad Idea Right While the two are banger hits, many are piqued by the mystery that the song "Lacy" encloses.

Olivia Rodrigo 'Lacy' Explained

According to Time Magazine, "Lacy," the fourth track of the album is "thematically evoking" the themes of "Jolene" as the Grammy-winning singer and songwriter recounts her inferiority and insecurity about an unknown woman, whom she also describes in the song alternately as someone she admires.

Many of Olivia Rodrigo's fans thought that the song practically explores her sexuality, with many believing that she was or is romantically attracted to this woman. Some theories say that the subject of Olivia Rodrigo's "Lacy" is either Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, or Gracie Abrams.

While some point out the homoerotic theme of the song, some Livvies caution people to not force Rodrigo to come out and explain the song.

"to get MY opinion straight. lacy is very queer coded and i can see a sapphic storyline written from it, its so sapphic coded and i can relate my own relationship to it but its sickening that ppl are using that to assume that olivia is coming out. please learn your boundaries," a user shared.

"funny how lacy is not once mentioned as a girl but all of u think olivia is coming out," someone pointed out.
