We're all going to party in a limo! The classic film "13 Going On 30" is set to have its own musical on the West End!
The team will be led by the same people who made the music for "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series," and "Heathers: The Musical."
'13 Going On 30' Musical Adaptation
According to Variety, the beloved classic chick-flick is in the early stages of a UK musical production as it enters its workshop phase at the Battersea Arts Centre in London, United Kingdom.
Its original writers, Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa, will be reuniting and working together on stage for the reimagining of the movie, which starred Mark Ruffalo, Judy Greer, Jennifer Garner
The upcoming musical adaptation of "13 Going On 30" is set to premiere in the summer of 2024. Music and Lyrics will be done by Michael Weiner and Alan Zachary, the same minds who reimagined "High School Musical" to "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series."
"Heathers: The Musical" director Andy Fickman will be helming the director's chair for the "13 Going On 30" musical.
The "13 Going On 30" musical was actually in the works in the past few years and ROYCO will be producing the show, the same company that produced "Police Cops The Musical."
"When we poured our middle school pain into the movie '13 Going on 30,' we never quite imagined it would stick around to this day as a rom-com parents show their kids, a Halloween costume, a scene in an Ariana Grande music video, and a teen sleepover staple," Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa said in a joint statement. "Now we're thrilled to be bringing our pain across the pond with '13 Going on 30 The Musical.' It's been endlessly fun working with ROYO, Todd Garner, Revolution Studios, composer/lyricists Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner, and director Andy Fickman to reinvent this story for the London stage. We can't wait for a new generation to grab some Razzles and feel thirty, flirty, and thriving."

'13 Going On 30' Plot
The story of "13 Going On 30" revolves around 13-year-old girl Jenna Rink who wants to skip her teenage years and magically wake up to become an adult. On her 13th birthday, her wish was granted and she woke up to become a magazine editor in New York City.
However, the realities of being an adult dawned upon her, making her realize that this is not what she thought life would be.
