Britney Spears' father, Jamie Spears, has had several health issues over the past few months, but it was reported recently that he's spending time in the hospital for weeks now due to a problem with his health.
According to a source who spoke with Page Six, the pop star's former conservator has been "suffering with a bad infection that has required surgery."
The insider added that the older Spears is "severely ill" and has been spending time in a "special infectious disease facility" for weeks now.

In addition, the source noted that a report by the Daily Mail about Jamie spending time at a rehabilitation facility due to alcoholism is not true.
As of this writing, the issue has not been confirmed by Jamie's lawyers.
Britney Spears' Father Jamie Spears Spent Time at the Hospital Earlier This Year
If ever the reports were true, this isn't the first time Jamie spent time at a hospital as a news outlet reported back in August that he was hospitalized for months.
The reason why he had to be treated by doctors was due to his problems with his knees. The elder Spears previously had a knee replacement over 16 year ago and he reportedly suffered from an infection.
At the time of the report, the outlet noted that Jamie was set to undergo surgery again to remove the infection. Throughout his time at the hospital, he reportedly lost more than 25 pounds and is "extremely thin."

Britney has not been in contact with her dad ever since the incident regarding her conservatorship ended and it was only Bryan was the one who told her about her father's health woes.
As of this writing, it's unclear if Britney Spears would visit her father at the hospital again as she had planned to repair her relationship in August.

According to Page Six, Jami has been living a private life ever since he was ousted as his daughter's conservatorship in 2021.
There were also allegations of the father being "abusive" of her amid her conservatorship as he was the one who controlled her decisions in terms of medical, personal, as well as financial.
As of October 2022, Britney and her dad remained estranged as she publicly called him out in an Instagram post, telling him to "burn in hell." She also alleged that her father treated her "like a dog."
