Composing the soundtrack for the animated film "10 Lives," Zayn Malik will collaborate with Simone Ashley, star of "Bridgeton," on a duet.

Alongside 28-year-old Simone as student Rose, the former member of One Direction serves as the film's executive song producer and provides the voices of "tough-guy twins" Cameron and Kirk.

The film "narrates the tale of a spoiled and self-centered cat who takes his numerous lives for granted."

He cries for a second chance and the chance to show that he is capable of learning from his mistakes after foolishly losing his ninth life. But when his wish is eventually fulfilled, he finds out there are some restrictions.

Among the voice cast are Mo Gilligan and Bill Nighy.

"We always love bringing the worlds of film and music together and could not be more excited that we got to do this with Zayn on '10 Lives,'" said Robyn Klein, the casting director, and Jeremy Ross, the music supervisor, in an interview with Variety.

Both a great song and a fantastic movie originate from the same source. Zayn connected and highlighted all of the film's major themes while bringing joy, emotion, and depth to the picture with a combination of his songwriting, acting, and vocal abilities.

Zayn Malik is at his very best in this situation.

Meanwhile, Simone is well recognized for her roles as Olivia Hanan in the popular teen sex comedy drama "Sex Education" and Kate in the Netflix period drama "Bridgerton."

Zayn, who is now working on his fourth studio album, a follow-up to "Nobody Is Listening," is also a parent to a three-year-old daughter named Khai with his ex-partner Gigi Hadid.

In July, the 30-year-old artist dropped his first new song in a span of two years. Zayn released "Love Like This," his debut single under his new label Mercury Records, accompanied with a music video that features him speeding through New York City on a motorcycle while pursuing a woman.

The celebrity has already stated that his new music will sound distinct from what he has previously released.

In an interview with the podcast "Call Her Daddy," he said, "Yeah, I got a few really sad ones [songs]."I find the music distinct, and there seems to be more narrative going on-real-life situations and such."

Regarding "Love Like This," he continued, "It's just a summer jam." The vibe is positive. Simply said, summer feels here."
