It is not a given that whoever Taylor Swift dates would be loved by her fans (ehem, Matty Healy) - Travis Kelce though seems to be receiving a lot of love!

Fans did not like former frontman The 1975, Matty Healy, even though he's in the same industry.

But then, his snide remarks about Swift collaborator Ice Spice on a filthy lefty podcast were quite annoying, to say the least. These comments drove him packing earlier this year when he was canceled by furious Swifties.

But in a remarkably short amount of time, Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs and Swift's current boyfriend, has managed to overcome a few minor misconceptions, such as the idea that he might be "too athelete dumb" or the idea that his older tweets show that he is a "problematic" jock at heart.

According to Daily Beast, "it's impressive that Kelce has emerged as America's Sweetheart on par with Swift."

His stunning Wall Street Journal story this week, complete with an enticing photo session is a case in point. The impeccably groomed 6'5" Pro Bowler gushes over Swift while relaxing in his luxurious Rolls-Royce. Normally, a car as bold as this would make people roll their eyes in class, but Kelce looks like a man fitting into a well-fitting suit, the outlet further said.

So did Taylor Swift turned him into America's newest sweetheart? Maybe. But it could also be because he's naturally likeable unlike the enigmatic but quite "red-flag screaming" men Swift dated in the past.

People magazine listed at least 10 reasons why people should love Travis Kelce and from here, it is quite clear why Kelce is unlike any other man that Swift dated.

For his part though, even before Kelce started seeing Swift, he was already surveyed to be one of the most likeable NFL personalities. So, much earlier than when he figured into the radar of Swifties, he could already be said to be a sweetheart in his own right.

In his interview with the WSJ. Magazine's December/January issue, the NFL superstar, was quite open about how his relationship with Taylor Swift began.

"I don't know if I want to get into all of it," Kelce said during the discussion, before ultimately reflecting on how unsuccessful his first attempt to meet the musician at her Eras Tour show in July went. But fate certainly worked in his favor.

"There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner [who said]: Yo! Did you know he was coming? I had somebody playing Cupid," Kelce told the outlet, adding that he eventually found that out from Swift...when the star actually contacted him directly.

How lucky can he be?!
