Animal Shelters Start Taylor Swift Challenge

Multiple animal shelters in all of America took part in the Taylor Swift Challenge to raise money for animal rescue shelters. This is a great initiative that is held today Swift's 34th birthday, Dec. 13, 2023.

The Taylor Swift Challenge is an easy one - it asks Swifties, or even those who just want - to donate $13 to their local rescue shelters. Notably, the $13 is reminiscent of Swift's favorite number.

Swift has never hidden her passion for pets and animals.

The Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals started the Taylor Swift Challenge after encountering a decline in adoption.

"They need support, and there is no better time than the present," the organization said in a statement to People Magazine.

On Facebook, the organization posted the challenge, imploring people to donate and take part in the said initiative.

"We have been thrilled to see it catch on with rescues and shelters from North Carolina to Texas, Missouri to Massachusetts and Kansas City to Oklahoma participating. We're not on our own, kid," they captioned their post, referencing Swift's "Midnights" track, "You're On You're Own Kid."

Over in Boston, Massachusetts, also shared their post for The Taylor Swift Challenge.

"Are you ready for it?! Tomorrow marks Taylor Swift's 34th birthday and to celebrate we're asking all Swifties and animals lovers to participate in the #TaylorSwiftChallenge by donating $13 to ARL in Taylor's name! Help animals in our shelters begin again and live out their wildest dreams," they said in their post.
