Iggy Azalea has some unfortunate news for her fans - she's not finishing and releasing her album in the works.

The rapper revealed that she plans on venturing into other lanes to fulfill her creative aspirations.

Iggy Azalea Retiring?

In a lengthy post on Twiter/X, Iggy Azalea provided light for her legion of fans in a rather saddening announcement.

"This is gonna be long.... so only bother reading if you love me," she warned her fans. "(If you still bother anyway you're a weirdo who has been warned.)"

Azalea, who released her most recent album in 2021 titled "The End of An Era," admitted that she has always been someone who finds "joy" in being "creative and seeing her ideas come to life."

"For a long time I used music to deliver my big crazy ideas to the world. I know a lot of people have this idea that I was "bullied away from music" and that's something I've always laughed at because I'd never be bullied out of anything," she added.

Admittedly, Azalea says that she's "too stubborn" and she thought that she has even "resisted changes" within herself at times, "purely because I don't like being viewed as someone who quits."

As Azalea continues with her revelation, she also confessed feeling "more passionately" about design and creative direction rather than songwriting.

"To many of you that's no shock to read. It shows in my work. © Haha! Jokes aside, i do spend a lot more time on that part of things... because Im most confident at that," she says.

Iggy Azalea Not Finishing Her Album

In her Twitter/X post, Azalea revealed that she would not be finishing her album which is currently in the works.

"It's been paused for a few months while I was giving direction for a different project & in truth I just haven't felt the urge to go back to it. I feel really happy & passionate in my day to day life when my minds focused on that and so I want to stick to what's undeniably best for me," she wrote.

Meanwhile, Azalea promised her fans to share some of the things she has been working on, hoping that they would see her "quirk & humor" in anything that she touches.

"I know for some fans this probably makes you feel a little deflated - I'm sorry to let you down. But, it's more important I don't let myself down. Ihope youll understand. Talk soon! I Love you," she ended the announcement.

Iggy Azalea has received four Grammy nominations in her career and has released three studio albums, among iconic collaborations with Ariana Grande, Rita Ora, and Charli XCX.
