Britney Spears new album rumors have been going on social media in the past few weeks. Insiders have claimed that Spears has been on a manhunt for people whom she wants to include in her new album.
Among those named were Charli XCX and Julia Michaels. However, Britney Spears new album rumors weren't actually true as the singer already said so herself.
Britney Spears New Album Rumors Debunked
In an Instagram post, Britney Spears shared a photo of Guido Reni's iconic painting of Salome with the Head of Saint John the Baptist, along with it was a lengthy caption that debunks Britney Spears' new album.
"Just so we're clear most of the news is trash !!! They keep saying I'm turning to random people to do a new album ... I will never return to the music industry !!!" she revealed in her post.
Very recently, The Sun reported that Charli XCX has been tapped to work on Britney Spears' new album. Insiders even claimed that the British songwriter already went to the studio penning new songs with the "Toxic" singer's guidance.
"When I write, I write for fun or I write for other people !!! For those of you who have read my book, there's loads that you don't know about me ... I've written over 20 songs for other people the past two years !!! I'm a ghostwriter and I honestly enjoy it that way !!!" she went on to say.
Apart from Charli XCX, Page Six also recently reported that Grammy-nominated Julia Michaels was also tapped to write on Britney Spears' new album.
"People are also saying MY BOOK WAS RELEASED WITHOUT MY APPROVAL ILLEGALLY and that's far from the truth ... have you read the news these days ??? I'm so LOVED and blessed !!!" she concluded in her post.
Britney Spears' Instagram post's comment section was turned off, limiting people to react to the said revelation.

Britney Spears New Album A Top Secret?
According to The Sun, Britney Spears' new album is being "kept top secret."
"Work has been going on behind the scenes for quite a while to gather a series of killer songs to bring Britney back with a bang," the source said. "She is known as one of the biggest pop stars of the 21st century so there is pressure for the music to be great."
