Taylor Swift looked a little gloomy in one of her recent public appearances since she attended the Golden Globe Awards 2024.
A few days after Jo Koy referenced Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship in a joke while hosting the ceremony, the "Lavender Haze" singer was seen strolling in New York City alone. She reached the headlines again for her "serious look" when the comedian cracked the line during his hosting gig.
Taylor Swift Affected by Golden Globe Backlash?
Due to her reaction, a massive percentage of social media users - even celebrities like Megyn Kelly - called out Swift for taking it seriously.
Following the event, the "Lover" singer seemingly ditched her bright smile as she stepped out in New York City. The Sun shared photos of the outing as she walked around the Green Village near the Electric Lady Studios.
The media outlet noted she was in high spirits around the photographers but did not smile for the cameras at that time.
For what it's worth, Swift seemed to be unimpressed when she became the subject of Jo Koy's joke at the Golden Globes.
"The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL - on the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift," the stand-up comedian, born Joseph Glenn Herbert Sr., said. "I swear, there's just more to go to."
Swift looked serious before taking a sip of her drink, and the public translated her gesture as a sign of annoyance.

One body language expert explained to The Mirror what Swift's reaction meant.
"On Taylor's part, she didn't seem impressed with the joke at all," expert Jess Ponce said. "Normally poised, relaxed, and friendly in front of the camera, she adopted a stoic and serious demeanor while taking a sip of her cocktail. Her eyes glared forward and if we could have read her mind I am sure a few choice words would be censored."
Meanwhile, Kelly said Swift was not "good sports" when she did not laugh at Jo Koy's joke, adding it was annoying that she did not flash a positive reaction. The political commentator added that she would laugh if she was the one mentioned in the line.
