Just a few days after ripping up and tossing what was supposed to be his acceptance speech at the Golden Globes, Mark Ronson won a Critics Choice Award for "I'm Just Ken."

"Ryan Gosling, this is as much your award as ours," the 48-year-old music producer said upon accepting the award for best song. "You made the audience fall in love with this song with your matchless performance, so thank you."

Ronson was referring to Ryan Gosling, who performed "I'm Just Ken," one of the highlight songs from the 2023 blockbuster movie, "Barbie," directed by Greta Gerwig.

"The fact that you carved out 11 minutes for this prog-rock, power-ballad, dream-ballet, shred fest so the boys could cry and hold hands a little too, we're really forever in your debt for that," Roson continued, addressing Gerwig.

Other songs from the "Barbie" movie that were also nominated under the same category at the award show were "Dance the Night" by Dua Lipa and "What Was I Made For" by Billie Eilish.

Mark Ronson Trashes Supposed Acceptance Speech

"I'm Just Ken" was also nominated for best song at the Golden Globes a week ago, however, it lost to Eilish's "What Was I Made For."

Apparently, Ronson fully expected that he would be bringing home that award because hours after the Golden Globes commenced, he shared a picture of what was supposed to be his acceptance speech in the trash.

He did, however, celebrate Eilish's win by sharing a post from the official "Barbie" movie's social media account announcing "What Was I Made For" winning best song.

"Congrats to our Barbie bredren," he wrote.

Mark Ronson Hopes For 'Barbie' Musical?

According to reports, shortly after his win, Ronson shared his thoughts about "Barbie" becoming a musical.

"I'm just waiting for the call," he said. "It would be amazing. Greta basically made a musical that's without calling it a musical, so we would love it."

"I think that we love music so much and we also love comedy. That's our other bomb, but we've never been able to merge them," he added about Gosling's performance of "I'm Just Ken."

"I think Greta and Noah's script was so inspiring, literally put it down and that song came to us pretty quickly.

"So I don't know if we'll be as lucky to get that kind of a script every time, but we really did love working on this."
