  • Victoria's Secret Renames 'Perfect Body' Campaign After Backlash

At first it seemed like more of the same when Victoria's Secret dropped their most recent campaign. There was the typical lineup of thin models posing in the company's latest styles, but something about this was different. The company had decided to scrawl across its newest ads the phrase "The Perfect Body," and that was probably the biggest mistake it has made in decades. Instantly, the company started to face consumer backlash from women who are not a Size 2, according to the "New York Post," and are fine with that. The feeling was that Victoria's Secret was sending the message that if you are not stick-thin, then there is something wrong with you, and it turned into a notion it had to correct — quickly. Three British college students began a petition on change.org that currently has more than 30,000 signatures.
  • 'Y&R' Hopes Charles Pratt Jr. Can Balance Devastation Caused by Showrunner Jill Farren Phelps

It has been rumored for months now that Charles "Chuck" Pratt Jr. had taken over the head writing duties on "The Young & the Restless," but there was no official confirmation until yesterday, when the show tweeted the news. Pratt is also now taking on the role of executive co-producer, which means he will be working closely with showrunner Jill Farren Phelps. The two have teamed up in the past on other daytime shows, such as "General Hospital" and "Santa Barbara," and while Phelps is technically still in charge, fans are hoping Pratt will balance out some of her harsh decisions. In the last year, "Y&R" has been hit with a boatload of controversy, making what was brewing behind the scenes a whole lot worse than anything they could have written for the fictional town of Genoa City. Phelps came to the show with the reputation of being a "soap killer" and it is more than a little interesting how, more often than not, after she leaves a show it ends up being canceled within a year or two. Phelps has an edgy kind of storytelling that often ignores the history of the characters on whatever show she is connected to, and that never sits well with longtime fans.
  • Hallucinations from Parkinson's Meds Likely Contributed to Robin Williams Suicide

Three months after Robin Williams committed suicide, we are learning much more about what likely caused him to take such drastic measures. His autopsy results were released to the public last week, and they revealed that the actor had no alcohol or illegal drugs in his system at the time of his death. There was originally intense speculation that Williams had fallen off the wagon in his final days after years of sobriety. His wife Susan Schneider later attributed his depression to a recent diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease. According to a report by TMZ, Williams had also been suffering from Lewy Body Dementia, a condition commonly affiliated with Parkinson's. People with both conditions often have severe side effects to the necessary medication and hallucinations are common. Patients may see phantom people, animals or objects, and they often try to converse with the hallucinations.
  • Dr. Craig Spencer to Leave Bellevue Hospital Today: Declared Ebola-Free

On Oct. 23, Dr. Craig Spencer was confirmed to have contracted the often-deadly Ebola virus. He had just returned to New York City after treating patients in Guinea for Doctors Without Borders and, upon spiking a fever, was rushed to Bellevue Hospital. Emergency workers who dealt with Spencer apparently got their official protocol correct because in the weeks since his initial diagnosis no one else has contracted the disease. On Monday afternoon, Nov. 10, "The New York Times" confirmed that Spencer is now Ebola-free and scheduled for release this afternoon. The plan to release Spencer has not been publicly announced, but was confirmed Monday by two people familiar with his treatment but who declined to be identified because they did not have permission to release the information. A spokeswoman for Bellevue did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
  • Khloé Kardashian Fakes French Montana Reconciliation for Reality Show Storyline

When Khloé Kardashian first broke up with French Montana last September, no one seemed to be too surprised. There were rumors he had been using her for fame and she never really seemed to have gotten over her marriage to Lamar Odom falling apart. When Kardashian started doing publicity for the new season of "Kourtney & Khloé Take the Hamptons," all of a sudden there was a Montana love-fest, according to ABC News. She could not praise him enough and in turn he also started talking up his continued love for Kardashian. By the time they were spotted together again at Kendall Jenner's birthday bash, it was almost predictable. Of course they were back together, right? It was all almost a little too perfect, though, wasn't it? According to a new report by Radar Online, Kardashian's reconciliation with Montana is completely for show and basically storyline-dictated to ensure she has something going on while filming the upcoming season of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."
  • 'RHONJ' Teresa Giudice Spending Last Days of Freedom Partying, Not at Home with 4 Daughters

Teresa Giudice must feel like the walls are closing in around her. "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star has to report to a Connecticut prison camp Jan. 5 to begin serving a 15-month sentence, according to TMZ, after pleading guilty to multiple counts of fraud. While she has been publicly selling the idea of keeping her family rock-solid and united through this crisis, behind closed doors it has been quite the opposite. We have already told you that Joe Giudice, Teresa's husband, is rarely home. Instead, he has been spotted out on a daily basis with his crew of drinking buddies, drowning his sorrows. After Teresa finishes serving her sentence, then it will be Joe's turn to spend nearly four years behind bars, after which he will likely be deported back to Italy. Their days living under the same roof as a family are clearly numbered, and it is likely that once Teresa is released from jail she will file for divorce from Joe once and for all. While she claims to be spending every moment with her four daughters, sources close to the reality star are telling a different story: Apparently she is spending her last days of freedom partying with friends instead of being at home with her four daughters. According to a report by Radar Online, Teresa has been spotted out almost every night with her friends. Fresco is the Montclair, New Jersey, eatery that has confirmed that the "RHONJ" star often comes in for dinner with friends and no kids.
  • Prince William, Kate Middleton to Visit NYC in Late November, Prince George May Also Come

There is an ever-so-slight chance that New Yorkers might actually catch a glimpse of little Prince George later this month. It was revealed earlier this fall that Prince William was planning on visiting New York City, and at that time his wife, Kate Middleton, was knee-deep in morning sickness. She was canceling scheduled royal appearances on a weekly basis back then and the royals were not sure if Middleton was going to remain ill right up until the day she delivered her second child. Luckily, in recent weeks Middleton has rebounded. She is still not 100 percent, but she is well enough to put on a gown and smile for a few hours. Middleton is also fairly desperate to make up for all those missed appearances, mainly because she hates letting Queen Elizabeth down. She has traveled a bit recently, proving that she is capable of doing so, and because of that Middleton is now expected to tour NYC with her husband in late November. There are also rumors that Prince George may also accompany his parents to the Big Apple. The future heir to the throne's last official trip with his parents was last April, when the family spent nearly a month Down Under.
  • Katy Perry Admits to Having Suicidal Thoughts During Messy Divorce from Russell Brand

Katy Perry always seems to be in a great mood. Between her infectious smile, spirited performances and crazy costumes it's hard to imagine her ever really depressed. Perry did a segment on Monday for Australia's "The Project" and in it she revealed that not only has she been depressed, but at one point she even was battling some suicidal thoughts.
  • Robert Pattinson Rumored to Be 'In Love' During a PDA-Filled Weekend in NYC with FKA Twigs

When Robert Pattinson first started popping up with FKA Twigs a few months ago many people seemed to think that it was just a casual thing that would fizzle out. Instead these two seem to be getting stronger every day and their weekend trip to NYC was laced with PDA. Pattinson headed to the Big Apple with Twigs to support her show in Brooklyn at Terminal 5 and they couldn't have seemed much tighter.
  • NY Health Dept. Believes Yorkville Clinic Broke Protocol Before Giving Joan Rivers Double Dose of Propofol

It sounds like New York's Department of Health and Human Services has just made Melissa Rivers's malpractice suit a whole lot easier. As we recently told you, Melissa has hired a high-powered Manhattan law firm to represent her on behalf of Joan Rivers's estate. Page Six said Joan checked herself into the Yorkville Endoscopy Clinic Aug. 28 for what was intended to be an exploitative procedure and went into cardiac arrest while sedated with Propofol. According to the agency, the clinic screwed up by not dosing Joan properly. Propofol's dosage is dependent upon a patient's weight and, apparently, Yorkville never bothered to weigh Joan. According to an explosive report by TMZ, a staff member told the New York agency that they made a mistake while inputting the proper dosage into the computer and that Joan was given double the dosage of what is safe for a woman of her size. Not only did they screw up the medication, but the report also alleges that if Joan had been as closely monitored as a patient under Propofol is supposed to be, then staffers would have realized she was starting to die right in front of them! Instead, by the time the two doctors and team of nurses in the room realized what was happening, she was already in full cardiac arrest.
  • Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 Fate Will Likely Remain a Mystery

In the eight months since Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 disappeared from the sky during an overnight flight, there have been more questions than answers. Almost immediately, Malaysia Airlines Management reported that the plane had been hijacked but then quickly changed their minds, insisting they were not sure what had become of the missing flight. There has been false information put out by MAS, and mixed signals and fallacies have completely taken over this case, leaving family members confused and devastated. Then there is the fact that while extensive searches have been launched, especially by the Australian ATSB, the search area has changed on a few different occasions. According to insiders, MAS is preparing to declare the plane officially lost by the end of the year, but some believe the country simply does not want any trace of it found, according to the Examiner.
  • Beyoncé, Jay-Z Contemplate Taking Year Off, Move to France, Have Another Baby

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have had one heck of a year. Aside from earning an estimated $95 million, the couple has also been dogged by rumors about the status of their six-year marriage. One little bit of elevator surveillance tape that showed Solange Knowles beating on Jay was all it took for months of speculation to swirl. Instead of going their separate ways at the end of their joint tour in September, Beyoncé and Jay instead decided to vacation together, and apparently France left a lasting impression, according to the "Daily Mail." The couple spent quality time in Paris with their daughter Blue Ivy and various outlets are now saying that there is an excellent chance that Beyoncé and Jay will spend the majority of next year living there. Sources claim the couple has decided it is time to expand their family, and Beyoncé is looking forward to the idea of having a stress-free pregnancy in the City of Lights. She also kind of likes the idea of Blue Ivy picking up French as a second language in a natural way by living in Paris.
  • Epicenter for Ebola Has Moved to Liberian Community of Jene-Wonde

While the United States seems to have managed to prevent an outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus — at least for now — people in West Africa are still suffering. A man traveled from a large Liberian city to the small community of Jene-Wonde in Grand Cape Mount County, bringing with him his sick daughter. Within days the man and his family had died, triggering one of the worst Ebola outbreaks so far. Jene-Wonde is near the border of Sierra Leone and is currently considered to be the epicenter of the deadly disease, according to the Associated Press. The community is extremely small with absolutely no established health care. That means that the leaders of the area have no idea how to handle the crisis. They realize that surrounding communities are afraid of them, so rather than initially inviting skilled teams in to help with the dead and sanitize the area, they instead tried to hide the outbreak by burying the dead in ways that ultimately helped spread the virus. Now as many as 10 percent of the community has been infected, and there is a realistic fear that if the Ebola virus is not contained, then everyone will succumb to it.
  • 'RHOA' Apollo Nida Refuses to Take Responsibility for Criminal Activities, Blames Phaedra Parks for Ruined Marriage

Fans of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" were thrilled to see the show return for a seventh season last night on Bravo. One of the biggest storylines this season will likely be Phaedra Parks dealing with the fact that her husband, Apollo Nida, has been locked up for eight years on a slew of fraud and identity theft charges. In last night's premiere, Nida claimed his mistakes were fixable and absolutely flipped on Parks for not being there to support him. Nida refuses to take responsibility for his criminal activities and selfishly blames Parks for their ruined marriage. Rather than attend Nida's sentencing date, Parks instead took the couple's two young sons and stayed at a hotel until the chaos settled. She knew her being in court was not going to change the outcome and in the meantime she did not want the media attention disrupting her children. When Parks returned to the family home a few days later, Nida went off on her for not being a good wife and standing by him no matter what.
  • Kate Middleton Suffers Through Remembrance Sunday Beside Camilla Parker-Bowles

Now here is something that we have not seen in a while: an appearance with Kate Middleton and Camilla Parker-Bowles in attendance! Clearly, there is absolutely no love lost between these two, and the awkwardness between them as they solemnly stood together for Remembrance Sunday was palpable. Middleton must be feeling a lot better because otherwise that nasty morning sickness would have been a great excuse to avoid this public appearance. Instead, the duchess pulled out her new Alexander McQueen coat, put on her hat and suffered through the event beside her enemy. The rivalry between Middleton and Parker-Bowles is epic and it is basically because Prince William's wife is everything Parker-Bowles will never be. While Middleton was born a commoner, she has been easily accepted into the royal family, but Parker-Bowles's 30-year fling with Prince Charles sat so badly with Queen Elizabeth that even after they finally married her presence is something still barely tolerated by the royals.
