• Bruce Springsteen's 'Outlaw Pete' Inspires Children's Book

Bruce Springsteen has sung about hundreds of great characters in his songs throughout the years, and some of them have even inspired works of film (see: Sean Penn's 1991 directorial debut The Indian Runner, which was based on Springsteen's "Highway Patrolman"). Now, one of Springsteen's songs has inspired, of all things, a children's book.

The unfortunate death of Robin Williams has us all reeling with a number of feelings: confusion, anger, loss, etc. But in these times, it’s important to remember just what the comedian brought to us – joy, happiness and, of course, an incredible amount of laughter. • 8 Albums Named After Their Cover Songs: Cyndi Lauper, Bruce Springsteen, And More

When you put a cover song on an album of otherwise original music, it's typically the sort of thing that's tucked away somewhere deep into the tracklisting and not really highlighted. Here are six lo-fi albums that were recorded by big rock stars.
  • Jack White Covers Lorde's 'Royals' In Concert [WATCH]

It looks like Jack White has joined Nirvana and Bruce Springsteen on the list of rockers who think Lorde is pretty cool. At a show in Milwaukee last night, July 21, White performed a cover of the New Zealand pop star's massive hit "Royals." As of right now, the only video footage of this performance is a brief, blurry video posted to Instagram, but it's definitely enough to get the picture and realize just how strange this must have been for the audience. Pitchfork reports that White has also performed covers of Jay-Z's "99 Problems" and the Stooges' "I Wanna Be Your Dog" during previous stops on his current tour.
