Stephen Belafonte Accused of Holding Wife Mel B Hostage in London Home Last Month
Is Mel B's -- aka Melanie Brown's -- marriage of seven years to Stephen Belafonte an absolute disaster? Well, one thing for sure is that the couple has been plagued with several rumors and scandalous allegations since she missed the U.K.'s "X Factor" finale in December. There have been many twists and turns in the story of what supposedly transpired last month, and now it seems Belafonte is wanted for questioning in London in connection with accusations that he held his wife hostage in their home for four days. -
After Rumors of Divorce, Abuse, Mel B & Stephen Belafonte Spend Holidays Together
It seems that only Mel B — Melanie Brown — herself knows the real situation going on behind the scenes with her husband Stephen Belafonte, and she is bound and determined to keep it that way — at least for now. The former Spice Girl was taken to a London hospital Dec. 11 and then missed a taping of "The X Factor" two days later — a major no-no. All sorts of rumors and innuendo spread, but finally Mel B spoke up on social media, insisting all is well. It had been alleged that Belafonte is abusive, a claim that has even been made by Mel B's mother, and that when she returned to work on "The X Factor" she had several noticeable bruises on her. On Instagram Sunday, Dec. 28, she posted a photo of herself with her husband that was captioned, "This is for my fans havin problems with my Twitter will be back soon! I'm very good was very polly but much better now and for the record my hubby never would lay a hand on me sorry took so long but any response fuels rumors #lovemyfamily #lovemyfans." There were also rumors that Mel B's hospitalization was because of an accidental overdose and afterward she reportedly was afraid to leave London because she was dreading having to return to the States to deal with things with Belafonte. -

London Club Fabric Faces License Review, Possible Closure
Legendary London club Fabric is entering one its most trying times. According to "The Evening Standard," the club is up for a license review that is normally just a formality, but this year is different. Police have called upon the Islington Council to review the club's license after a recent spate of drug-related deaths and hospitalizations stemming from the club. If the council decides to revoke the club's license, the 15-year-old club will most likely be forced to shutter its doors. The option of stripping Fabric of its license is being "strongly considered," according to the police. In the report, Police Commissioner Steve Harrington described their objections to having the club stay open. "It attracts clientele from all over Europe and it would seem that the immaturity or lifestyle of these patrons leads to them becoming actively involved in the taking of illegal drugs and this could account for the disproportionate and wholly unacceptable number of deaths and near-death incidents at the venue." The last incident cited by police reportedly saw an 18-year-old woman collapse and die in a hospital after MDMA at the club. -

Ma$e Loses Cover Art Suit Over Instagram Pic After Performance for Crowd of Less Than 50 in London
Former Bad Boy rapper Ma$e has been ordered to pay after losing a cover art lawsuit over an Instagram photo. The news comes on the heels of the rapper's underwhelming performance for a crowd of less than 50 people in London. According to reports, model Stephanie Delgado accused the Harlem rhymer of appropriating an Instagram photo of hers and using it as the cover art for his single "Why Can't We" without permission. Following her accusations in April, Delgado sued Ma$e over her claim. As noted by "TMZ," Ma$e was ordered to pay her $7,500. Delgado was reportedly awarded the money in default as Ma$e apparently never responded to her claim. Delgado was originally seeking damages in the area of $60,000, but was not awarded that sum because she was unable to prove earnings matching what she was asking for in previous photo shoots. Just last month, Ma$e was forced to perform in front of an intimate-sized crowd after fellow New Yorkers Fat Joe and Foxy Brown dropped out of their London gig. Joe was not able to get in the country and Brown pulled out with no explanation. The "Ill Na Na" rapstress jumped on Instagram during the performance and took shots at Ma$e's underwhelming crowd. She did not mention why she bailed on performing, though.
