Do you continuously find yourself trying to find the right playlist for your weekend? Look no further, Music Times is teaming up with different musicians each week and having them curate a Spotify playlist especially for you. Each week we will be bringing in a new artist and have them put together something special that you can listen to from Friday night to Sunday afternoon.

Last week we brought you a more established name The Ready Set for our Weekend Wunderlist and now we head across the pond to link up with rising producer New Mantra and some of his sultry, R&B-inflected electronic beats. New Mantra just released some of his first music in several months in the form an EP Not LDN, which he says took so long because of a combination of writer's block and the constant need to tinker and change ideas.

"I had plenty of other songs but the tracks on the EP id always go back and edit little things, it ended up being obvious these were the tracks which were suppose to be on the EP," he told us.

There is a mixture of vocal and instrumental cuts on the LP, but when pressed on which he leans toward, he doesn't play favorite even citing Bonobo as an influence.

"I like a mixture of both if I'm honest, that's why I love the track "All Over Town" on the EP. Its an instrumental track at its core but than has Barnaby come in right at the end to almost round the song off nicely," the UK producer remarks. "That song was exactly what I had in mind when I created it. Its why I love Bonobo's stuff so much, I find he has a great mix of both."

The playlist itself is an eclectic mix of hip-hop, R&B and downtempo electronic with tracks from the likes of Young Thug, Kanye West, Amy Winehouse, xxyyxx, Banks, Burial, Bonobo and Craig David.

"The tracks in the playlist are kind of a mixture of both stuff I'm listening to at the moment and also a few tracks from my hometown of Southampton. The whole idea for Not LDN came about when I kept seeing artists from my area lying and claiming they were now from London. I love London but just hate this idea of people lying about their identity."
