Australian electronic music producer What So Not has released his new seven-track EP, Divide & Conquer. The EP is heavy on collaborations, but he doesn't tab on any big names. Instead he works with other producers like Ganz and Burns. He then calls upon Kimbra and George Maple for vocals, while Rome Fortune adds a verse on "Buried."

The EP starts out with the in your face title track "Divide & Conquer" that has a bit of a Prodigy feel to it with its dark guitar riffs and distorted bass.

An interlude introduces "Lone," the single with Ganz and Joy with its buoyant synths and booming drums.

"Buried" is an interesting break right in the middle as What So Not leaves behind a lot of the heavily processed synths to a track that fits with the strengths of his vocalists. He puts together hip-hop drums for Rome Fortune, while adding some ethereal future bass when George Maple's soulful voice comes in on the hook.

"Montreal" is a booming, festival cut that will fill any of the rooms he is going to play on his upcoming tour.

The EP demands the listener listen all the way through from start to finish - not just pick out individual songs they like. It has a mini album feel, though each song is very strong in its own right.
