Alesso has released his new single "Take My Breath Away" co-produced by Dillon Francis and featuring an unlisted female vocalist.

The new single follows up "I Wanna Know" featuring Nico & Vinz, released in April. It is an infectious, dance-pop single that uses pitched vocal chops in the hook and syncopated hi-hats in the break that normally could make this a generic pop tune, but Francis and Alesso find a way to keep this a bit different from other tracks.

The jogging bass line and melody crafted by Alesso makes this another special tune for his discography, with the help of Francis on some of the more hip-hop influenced elements.

Vocal chops are everywhere in modern dance pop and those who are just starting to use it sound like they put on "Lean On" and "Where Are Ü Now" and tried to copy that. However, Alesso and Francis do it right on "Take My Breath Away."

The pair have been teasing a collaboration for close to a year now. Various versions of the song have been played out during shows for several months now, so it is good to hear the final, polished version. Dillon Francis is not listed on the title, but he is in the production credits and integral to the tune.

Over the past month, Alesso has rehashed a few of his previous hits, "Years" and "I Wanna Know" with some Asian vocalists as he tries to make inroads with the largest emerging market in music. "Take My Breath Away" is now his second single to emerge in 2016.
