So who else forgot that Justin Bieber is a musician and not a professional troublemaker? On his Instagram account yesterday, Bieber posted a short clip of himself singing Johnny Cash's 1963 classic "Ring of Fire" with his friend, R&B singer Khalil, while accompanying himself on guitar. Naturally, both of them are shirtless.

The video was posted with the caption, "We wake up singin good ol johny cash [sic] @khalil came with with [sic] the crazy tone lol." Though Bieber is known for his youthful, high-pitched singing voice, he tries his best to imitate Johnny Cash's signature baritone here. He's no Joaquin Phoenix in that respect, but it's still pretty interesting to see him sitting down and actually singing a song, instead of peeing in a mop bucket.

Justin Bieber’s most recent studio album was 2012’s Believe, which was his third overall. The last single he released was 2013’s “Confident” featuring Chance The Rapper, which was included as one of five new tracks on his 2013 compilation album Journals.

Of course outside of his music career, Bieber has also had an alarmingly high number of run-ins with the law recently. Just last week, he and his bodyguard Dwayne Patterson were sued for assault and battery, negligence, and emotional distress by a photograper named Aja Oxman, after Oxman photographed Bieber cliff jumping in Hawaii and was allegedly subjected to a physical beating. Earlier this month, Bieber plead guilty to charges of careless driving and agreed to take anger management classes.
