Luke Bryan made certain comments about country star Dustin Lynch last year, and now, the singer said the country legend is afraid that it might be a reason for his firign from "American Idol" as a judge; what happened?

According to Page Six, Lynch appeared in an episode of "God's Country" podcast where he revealed that Bryan was anxious about his jokes and he called him to share that he was worried about his future on the reality TV singing competition.

"And so [Bryan] has to apologize, you know, especially with, now he's worrying [about], obviously, 'American Idol.' Who cares about the country music thing? It's 'American Idol.' ... He gets to where he can't sleep at night 'cause he's worried," Lynch said.

He further explained that Bryan was only trying to be funny that evening when he made jokes about him at the 2023 Crash My Playa music festival in Mexico.

However, things escalated when the topics of sex and alcohol were involved.

Lynch further explained that Bryan came to the point where he just started bashing him and he looked at his manager. Regardless, they still took the stage together and performed.

After the incident, Bryan felt bad about what he said and asked for Lynch's parents' email addresses to personally say sorry for what happened.

"[That] just shows you what kind of guy Luke is," he said.

Last year, the pair attended the Crash My Playa festival in Mexico as performers. Before Lynch took the stage, Bryan made comments about him as a joke, but the internet was not too happy with what he said.

"No one has drank more liquor, no one has vomited more, no one has taken more drugs, no one has taken more IVs, no one has passed more STD tests than this next gentleman," the country star said.

He later clarified that his co-performer doesn't have diseases.

Lynch went on to deliver a performance immediately after the commetns and he didn't react about what the singer said about him.

Following this, videos of the event went viral on different platforms of social media and fans were not happy about what Bryan said as most of the commenters were upset.
