Chris Brown is done being begged as "the aggressor" and is getting too old for drama now that he's 25 years old. Speaking to MTV's Sway Calloway, the "Loyal" singer explained why he and Drake publicly squashed their well documented beef. Back in June, the two rappers appeared together in a 2014 ESPY Awards skit to make light of their feud. According to Brown, Drake's camp approached him with the idea and Brown thought it was the perfect time to let go of the hate.

"Especially after getting out of jail [and] going through what I was going through, I didn't have any animosity towards anybody. I was just focused on me and what I was doing," he said. "I just felt it was a great opportunity. I just wanted to bring light to the situation and just grow up. You can't walk around holding grudges looking over your shoulder, being negative all the time. I'm tired at being looked at as the 'aggressor.' So for me, I just wanted to show my maturity."

When asked how he and Drake resolved the issue, Brown explained it wasn't like "let's have a pow-wow and sit down over tea. It was like, 'Oh, what's up. We good? Cool. 100.' [The Rihanna situation] was already understood. It didn't need to be explained."

Now that the hatchet has been buried, fans are dying for a collaboration between the two artists after a photo of the two in the studio surfaced. Brown explained that it won't happen on this album because it's already finished.

"I know it would be a big thing for the fans to hear a song, but it's got to be the right song for both of us at the end of the day," he explained.

Brown's upcoming album X is due out September 16. Check out his interview with Sway below, and let us know what you think in the comments section!
