Jennifer Lopez is leaving no stone unturned for her upcoming release, "This Is Me... Now," she wants everyone to know how, where, when, and why the album came together, with the help of the accompanying film.

According to reports, despite marrying three times in the film, Lopez's film and album are not about the men she has been with, it is all about her and her journey to reaching the "now" version of herself.

"This Is Me... Now" is a follow-up to her 2002 album, "This Is Me... Then," and its accompanying film is simply a way to both promote and explain the upcoming album.

However, for the singer, it is anything but. She describes her "This Is Me... Now" projects as "the most personal thing [she has] ever done."

The "On The Floor" singer's new film is a musical and a visual reimagining of her life events that inspired the album, reports say.

It almost did not come to fruition because the singer slash dancer kept doubting herself and her skills and talent; the project finally went through after a bit of convincing from her husband, Ben Affleck.

"Metaphorically, it is true," said Dave Meyers, the director of the film. "That stemmed from her telling me the pain that she's been in, specifically the pain that she went through when she broke up with Ben the first time.

"There was a lot of honesty that was shared in that first meeting, and so the heart factory became sort of a Titanic-level meltdown, which was a metaphor for what she was giving me as far as her truth."

Jennifer Lopez's Album Heavily Inspired by Ben Affleck?

While Lopez did not directly or explicitly say that her "This Is Me... Now" projects are heavily influenced by Affleck, it does seem like it is since she said that it is about "true love."

"I got to the point in my life where I felt like I have some answers about this, and actually, true love does exist, and some things are forever," Lopez explained. "Don't give up hope."

The singer and actor dated in the early 2000s, before their eventual breakup in 2004; they rekindled their romance in 2021 and tied the knot in 2022.
