The Academy Awards, or the Oscars, is only a week away, and the performers for the upcoming ceremony have already been announced.

This year, two nominees for the Academy Award for Best Original Song came from one movie, "Barbie," both would be performed at the ceremony.

2024 Oscars Performers

Billboard reported that all five of this year's Oscar nominees for Best Original Song will perform their respective songs. Notably, this year would also mark the third time Billie Eilish and Finneas have performed at the ceremony in five years.

Becky G will be performing "The Fire Inside" from "Flamin' Hot," a song written by Academy Award songwriting giant Diane Warren. Warren has yet to win an award for this category despite being nominated 15 times already. However, she was awarded an Honorary Academy Award in 2022 for her contribution to music and film. Reportedly, Warren wouldn't be performing with Becky G at the ceremony.

Musical savant Jon Batiste will be performing "It Never Went Away" from American Symphony, a song he co-wrote with Dan Wilson for the Netflix documentary film about him. He won an Academy Award for Best Original Score in 2020 for "Soul."

The black horse of the nominees this year was Scott George and the Osage singers for their song "Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People)" from "Killers of the Flower Moon."

Despite hesitations, Ryan Gosling will perform the Oscar-nominated song "I'm Just Ken" from "Barbie." The Daily Mail and Variety sources close to the Academy Awards have confirmed the tidbit. He will perform the song with Mark Ronson, one of the track's writers.

Gosling hesitated to perform the song at the Oscars back then.

"It might be too much of a risk to have me do it," Gosling told Variety. "I don't know how that would work. But I'm open to it."

Lastly, Billie Eilish and FINNEAS will perform their Grammy-winning song "What Was I Made For?" at the Academy Awards. Their performance would mark the duo's third time performing on the show. They first performed in the 2020 In Memoriam segment in 2021 for "No Time To Die," which they eventually won.

'What Was I Made For? Winning The Oscars For Best Original Song?

Various publications have predicted that "What Was I Made For?" will win the said category, making Eilish and FINNEAS the youngest double Oscar winners.

Billie was 21, and FINNEAS was 25 when they won the Oscar for "No Time To Die" in 2022; they would have been 22 and 26, respectively, if they would ultimately win with "What Was I Made For?"
