The late AC/DC member Bon Scott will be the subject of a film, but fans shouldn't get their hopes up as it will not be a biopic but rather an inspiration of his life story.
According to Loudwire, The Kid From Harvest Road will be set in the 1960s. At that period, the rocker was starting in the music industry and discovering his talents in the music world.
More recently, the project's producers have insisted that the movie will not retell his life story but will still be inspired by him.
Producers from HALO Films released a statement about the matter, stating that they're humbled and grateful for the support they've been getting from the public after they announced the movie. However, they have to break the news that the film will not be a biopic but rather a fictionalized version of his life events in the 1960s.
"However, they are at pains to express that The Kid From Harvest Road is a project that aims to capture the essence of Bon Scott's early life in Fremantle in a fictionalized narrative set in the 1960s," they added.
The statement continued that since they're taking inspiration from Scott's life, they wanted to do a "more imaginative exploration" of his character and experiences instead of producing a biopic.
AC/DC Bon Scott Movie Details
HALO Films gave a few details about the upcoming movie, saying that the story will revolve around the singer's formative years and they will dive into some of his experiences while growing up that made him the legendary person that he was, especially when he became the frontman of AC/DC.
They also aim to explore the cultural landscape of the 1960s, "including the burgeoning music scene and social dynamics of the era."

The outlet noted that Lee Tiger Halley will portray Bon Scott in the movie. Stephen Beloweky and David Vincent Smith, co-writer and director, are writing the upcoming project.
Ian Hale, under Tim Duffy, will serve as producer along with Nicko Mezzino under HALO Films and Protocol Pictures.
