Tate McRae displayed her incredible stage presence once more at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards Monday night.

The 20-year-old singer-songwriter did not show up to play during the mix of her smash song "Greedy" and her single "Exes" -- she truly meant business, especially in the face of those who doubted her live singing abilities.

Tate McCrae 'Greedy' and 'Exes' Mashup

Performing a mashup of "Greedy," a song that recently crossed the 1 billion stream mark on Spotify, and 'Exes' was a stroke of genius. This unexpected combination left the audience intrigued and excited.

Renowned for her electrifying dancing skills and vocal prowess, McRae gave it her all at the Los Angeles ceremony presented by Ludacris.

She previously told People that she "always thought" she'd eventually grow up to be a backup dancer, but the universe turned out to have great plans for her talents.

Wearing a bright orange ensemble with two dancers that matched in color, McRae sang "Greedy" to open her show on a stark white platform.

She moved into a remix of "Exes" at that point, and more dancers joined her to perform exuberant choreography.

Real Feelings on Britney Spears Comparison

Before the show started, she was caught for an interview and asked about comparisons to Britney Spears and whether she thought this was a compliment.

She said it's a favorable comparison, adding that she has always loved the star and devoured her book, The Woman in Me.

McRae gained notoriety as a competitive dancer long before she became a pop singer.

At 13, she competed in So You Think You Can Dance and placed second.

Then, just two weeks after recording "Exes," she and her team filmed and published the music video.

"We were obviously taking inspiration from the greats, like Britney and Christina, and really wanted to just do a full dance music video," McRae said.

"I've been dreaming of doing a dance music video with full choreography - dance being the most prominent thing in the music video - for so long. So that definitely referenced by some of my biggest idols," she added.
