Metro Boomin's cellphone has been hacked amid the success of his new album, We Don't Trust You.

The Grammy-nominated rapper has been the subject of a cyber-attack by a hacker who used his cellphone number to order from his contacts.

Metro Boomin Hacked

On Mar. 29, 2024, Metro Boomin' informed his fans on Twitter/X not to answer any calls or texts they might get from him until further notice. Fans seemed alarmed by his reminder but only confirmed their suspicions after Metro Boomin revealed that his phone had been hacked.

"jus got my phone # and accounts back today somebody hacked me the day the album dropped smh, and all those corny ass tweets, all my day 1s know that's nowhere in my character," he revealed.

However, when a fan asked if he was the one who posted "Thank God for the day" and "Happy Ressurection Day!" tweets, he confirmed that it was him, but he only knew that it was posted on Twitter/X, the day he retrieved his account.

Upon further revelation, Metro disclosed that a certain number from Canada started calling him two days before the album dropped. He also added that 416 numbers blasted his phone, calling him back to back.

"It got so bad I had to keep my phone on airplane mode," he confirmed, adding, "I woke up 2 days after the album dropped with my phone saying I was signed out of iCloud and I no longer had service on my phone."

Metro also received an email from his representative from Balenciaga, who asked him about some suspicious messages he received in which he apparently asked to get some items from the brand, including a Chanel bag.

The mysterious hacker tried to order $23,000 worth of Balenciaga items from Houston while Metro was in his home in Atlanta at the time. But when the Balenciaga rep asked for Metro's credit card information, the hacker stopped replying and decided to reach out to his email, which the real Metro finally responded to.

"this is why I never store any music or anything important on any digital cloud I'm old school I still keep hard drives in safes," he tweeted.
