For veteran artists like Sheryl Crow, touring would have been so much fun if she's on the road with two of the most iconic singers in the music industry - Lionel Richie and Billy Joel.

Although Crow expressed a liking for them to go on the road with them, Joel seems to have resisted for a very particular reason!

Billy Joel Passed on the Chance to Tour With Sheryl Crow, Lionel Richie

Speaking to everyone onstage while on the Michael J. Fox Foundation's benefit concert "A Country Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson's," Sheryl Crow revealed why Billy Joel passed on the chance to tour with her and Lionel Richie. (via People Magazine)

Apparently, Crow proposed that they go on tour together in 2023. However, the Piano Man declined the offer, saying he "only do two shows a month." Joel announced in 2023 his last string of shows on the Madison Square Garden in New York, where he has been holding his residency for decades already.

Crow, Richie, and Joel have performed together in the same venue on the same day in the past. In November 2022, the trio performed a special one-night-only show at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium. For the second day of ATLive 2022, they were also joined by Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, Dwight Yoakam, and Katie Pruitt.

Sadly, the trio has yet to reunite on stage again.

Joel's final show at the venue in July 2024 will be his 100th performance on his concert residency and his 150th lifetime performance overall in the venue.
