When Skid Row announced that they would go on tour this year, fans were excited to see them hit the big stage again. However, many were surprised when Erik Gronwall left the group as a frontman. Luckily, Lzzy Hale was there to save the day, as she agreed to replace the musician on several dates.

Now that the singer is set to appear on Skid Row's series of concerts, would she consider replacing Gronwall permanently?

Hale sat down for an interview with Morristown, New Jersey radio station 105.5 WDHA, where she told Terrie Carr her thoughts about being Skid Row's frontwoman.

When asked if she would still perform at more shows aside from her announced dates, the musician answered: "You never know. I will say something that most likely will happen is that these will not be the only four dates you ever hear. I will say that." (via Loudwire)

Will Lzzy Hale be Skid Row's Permanent Singer?

She discussed the possibility of her being Skid Row's permanent singer, saying, "We're gonna all have to find a plateau [laughs] in our schedules to do that. But you never know. Sounds like a pretty good gig for me, if I ever get to that point."

Later in the conversation, Hale noted that performing for the band temporarily is more than just helping out her good friends, adding that the group had a massive impact on her when she started in the industry.

"I can honestly tell you right now that I would not be the rocker that I am today without Skid Row," she added.

The musician added that, aside from their albums' beautiful melodies and impressive vocals, the "subject matter" of the records was "very real" for her as she resonated with them at the right time.

Why Did Erik Gronwall Leave Skid Row Amid Tour Announcement?

Erik Gronwall has been a member of Skid Row for a long time; that's why fans were shocked when he announced that he would no longer be a part of the group.

In a statement posted on social media, as reported by Blabbermouth, the singer, who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2021, said he needed to prioritize his health and focus on his recovery.

He recalled that when he was getting treatment years ago, one of the goals that he set was to focus on himself, and upon looking back, he realized that he needed to take a break to continue his recovery.
